The application I want to develop is at the forefront of new technology and uses all the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence. Its name is: IPlant

Context

Travel is my greatest passion. So, when I was asked to carry out a project related to artificial intelligence, I tried to link it to this passion. So I remembered all the times I spent abroad when I would have needed AI. One of these moments in particular seemed the most interesting to me: I had the chance to make a trip to Ethiopia where I took a safari of several days. During this safari, we sometimes had to look for local plants that, when they were edible, had a lot of nutrients in them. However, it was necessary to know if they could be used without the risk of getting sick. But for a person without experience like me, this is really difficult. The application I propose here to develop would be a solution to this problem. Indeed, I am creating an application that would have a very large database with all the plants that are found on our very rich planet. The user would then just have to take a picture of the plant, the application recognizes it with the help of artificial intelligence and then offers us all the information about it.

  • If not, what are the risks of consuming it and what are the symptoms?

    As you will have understood, the goal is simple. Once the application is downloaded, the user will only have to authorize access to the camera and let's go!

    Each time a photo is taken, the artificial intelligence of my application will automatically go into its large database to find the corresponding plant. Once this is done, the information about it will be published.

    In what way is the concept revolutionary?

    My application could be used by a very large number of people. Indeed, for all those like me who like to travel to unknown places, this project allows them to have information about an environment they are not used to living in. Then, for those who are just curious, it would allow them to learn about the world around them every day. Finally, it may also be useful to scientists studying the subject. Although they usually have a lot of knowledge about it, my idea can at least save them time.
